Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born to a music-loving family. She was raised listening to classical and old boleros, along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other theatrical performances. After singing with her mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. The beginning of her professional career was spent performing with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer with the traditional Latin American music at private events. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation, for keeping this music in the present.
